Naturalistic bronze sculpture by Susse Frères - Beetroot XXth Art Deco Gastronomy

  

Superb gilded bronze sculpture depicting a sugar beet. Old casting from around 1925 on its cherry marble base. Signed by the foundry Susse Frères Paris, offered and probably designed by Louis Sébline, a Picard industrialist established in Aisne.

Very good condition, some tiny wear on the gilding and on the marble, see the pictures. Length 13cm Width 8cm Height 4cm Weight 525g. I am at your disposal for any information.
