Bronze 50cm Odalisque with Pierre Le Faguays Art Déco/Art Nouveau
Bronze sculpture from the 1930s, "Odalisque with the cup" by Pierre LE FAGUAYS ("Fayral") in the Art Deco/Art Nouveau style. This exquisite bronze, measuring approximately 50cm, features a young woman partially nude, wearing only a loincloth that covers her sensual hips and some jewelry. She is holding an offering in an alabaster cup. Her feet rest on a stepped pedestal covered with a carpet, all artistically positioned on a marble base with green and white veins on a black background. This sculpture is known not only for its characteristic Art Deco style but also for its collaborations with Max Le Verrier, particularly in a series of highly sought-after cast iron sculptures and lamps. The model presented here has also been created with an illuminating amphora.
The sculpture is in very good condition, with only minimal wear to the patina. It is signed "Le Faguays" on the bronze base.
