Very beautiful letter tray / catch-all.... Made of solid bronze with an Art Nouveau decoration of columbine flowers, signed Fromont, France, around 1900.
Nancy School, of the period and Art Nouveau style, in high relief, with artistic and decorative purposes. A reference or more likely a date is stamped on its back: "1905".
Note the elegant shape of the edges and its angles, all in roundness and softness! Natural golden patina, scattered wear without significant loss to the decorations. Minor chips and signs of use, without excess. The dish is slightly wobbly on its 4 button feet.
Signs of use consistent with its age! Weight without solid and secure packaging: 260 grams.
