Very beautiful pair of solid gold-plated bronze bookends representing two lying deer. Each has a relief modification on their bodies, hand-chiseled with silver and copper metal inlays. Both are signed underneath, engraved in relief, but the artist is difficult to decipher as the characters of the signature are in Greek. In very good condition with a lovely patina. Fixed on two light teak bases and glued (see photos for black glue).
