Superb gilded bronze sculpture depicting a sugar beet. Antique cast circa 1925 on a cherry marble base. Signed by the caster Susse Frères Paris, offered and probably designed by Louis Sébline, an industrialist from Picardy based in the Aisne. In very good condition, with a few minor signs of wear to the gilding and on the marble; see images. Length 13 cm, Width 8 cm, Height 4 cm, Weight 525 g.
