Elegant art deco panther with a proud attitude. Bronze on a black marble base. Marked BRONZE in the casting on the animal's tail.

Superb work and attitude with characteristic lines of the art deco movement of the 1920s/30s. Rich nuanced 'antique green' patina. Antique solid casting from the period. Solid castings are characteristic of bronzes, as opposed to regules, which were hollow. Model referenced after Irénée Rochard, unsigned. The Mr Expert website indeed specifies that Rochard did not always sign his works.
