Very nice pair of bookhouses with a heron each, signed gual. For jaime (jaime) sabartes gual, poet, sculptor, friend and secretary of pablo picasso. They are ancient, art deco period, they are not copies. The supports are made of marble and the bronze herons with a beautiful patina. The 2 herons are signed gual and stamped bronze.

They are both in very good condition, close to the excellent. A marble was probably re-assembled, but a long time ago (see photos). Height of a heron : 16,50 cm total height of a bookhouse : 18,50 cm. Weight: 1,700 kg each.
