From the 1930s presented in the vintage catalog. Art Deco chandelier with 9 lights. All original parts, including the mount. In nickel-plated bronze, it holds 6 panels and suspends 6 pressed glass tulips signed Muller Frères Lunéville. Published and marketed in Paris.

By the lighting fixtures factory. This chandelier is reproduced identically in its commercial catalog dated 1931 with reference 1179 (photo 6). Heir with his brother Auguste of a company created by his father Alexandre in 1857, he will adapt his production to the elaborate style at the Exhibition of Decorative Arts of 1925 by developing lighting fixtures in bronze and wrought iron equipped with molded pressed glassware, mainly supplied by Muller Frères in Lunéville.

Located at 10 rue du Vert-Bois in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, the Petitot Establishments were wholesalers and supplied a whole series of resellers throughout France. This company lasted until 2009. Equipped with 3 interior lights and six exterior lights, the mount is made of solid cast bronze with surface hammering and silver nickel finish (photo 2).

The large hexagonal bail cover, with a stepped terminal, suspends six bars that reproduce the appearance of ropes (photo 4). The large cage, which receives the six panels, is punctuated by a decor of knotted cords in their center (photo 9), the six socket covers are original (photo 11) and belong to the range of accessories from Petitot. Each arm is struck on the inside with the initials AP for Alexandre Petitot, father of Hubert and founder of a dynasty dedicated to lighting.

The triangular panels and matching conical tulips are made of frosted pressed molded glass in white color and are all signed Muller Frères Lunéville (photo 8). Stylized waves and algae punctuated with water droplets make up the decoration (photos 3 and 9). Note the beautiful selective frosting work done manually on the raised reliefs. These twelve glassware are in good condition, with usual chips on the necks for the tulips and on the edges for the panels.

This chandelier has been completely rewired with new wire, the sockets are nickel-plated brass with B22 bayonet fitting. Nine new LED bulbs will be provided and the chandelier will be shipped in two separate packages.
