Germain & lambollez was the largest company of nancy luminaires, equipping many homes with exclusive models for more than fifty years. Often made of wrought iron or bronze by Albert Cherpion, their lighting appliances were most often equipped with glassware muller brothers. From 1933 onwards, when the glass factory of the luneville, in serious economic difficulty, could no longer honor its orders, first and foremost turned to the glass factory of verdun. Maurice model was a decorator whose store was located at 18 rue des fêtes à paris.
Producing decorative objects, like robj, he worked with many shops in the capital for which he enhanced the displays. He decided at the beginning of the 1930s to go into the lighting glassworks and bought the glassware of verdun in the mill. This plant will only operate for a few years and production stopped after a devastating bombardment on June 15, 1940.
The models produced in verdun were sometimes signed m. Model verdun, verdun, but most often were not signed. It has often been read that this plant produces only for export.
