Very beautiful and substantial bronze ashtray in Art Deco style, from France or Austria. Probably from the 1930s; designer and workshop to be identified. High-quality, functional, and decorative piece. The buffalo head is very expressive, in a style inspired by antiquity or Asia. No major dents or signs of wear. Beautiful natural aged patina, with a medal-like patina and gilding on the raised areas. Maximum height: 3.7 cm. Weight without packaging, well packed and secure: 915 grams.
