ELEGANT ART DECO MODERNIST LAMP 1930 SKYSCRAPER BUILDING BRONZE and OPALINE

  

EXCEPTIONAL LARGE TABLE LAMP or accent lamp, stable base. Bronze, brass, and copper for the base, measuring 36 cm from the bottom of the base to the top of the glass shade. The base is topped with a large white opaline typical of the Art Deco era.

OF BUILDING or SKYSCRAPER TYPE. This lamp, in the style and period of ART DECO 1920-1930, in its original state, distributes a soft and warm light. It is equipped with older materials but with more recent operational wiring and plug, along with a bayonet socket.

DIFFICULT to photograph due to micro-reflections and shininess (the autofocus zooms in and out constantly). The illuminated opaline creates finely detailed patterns, featuring vertical stripes among other designs, followed by shadows like the fluting of classical columns... A stunning effect and great elegance, noticeable in some photos but slightly out of focus. Circular base with a diameter of 19 cm, very stable for a total height of 11 cm in copper and bronze or nickel-plated brass for the lower openwork part, with some signs of oxidation and beautiful old patina. LARGE LAMP TYPICAL of the 1920s-30s, standing 36 cm tall.
