Captured by the Germans during the First World War, he was interned in Swiss. Back in Paris, he exhibited at the tile fair in 1922. After beginnings still impregnated by academicism, a bouraine was revealed in the 1925s as one of the most representative sculptors of art deco. Bouraine is a member of the French artists' society and participates in the fall fair. In 1928 he collaborated with gabriel argy-rousseau who commissioned him several sculptures, as well as with his friend stone the faguays.
He also exhibited two monumental sculptures at the 1937 universal exhibition in Paris. Source benezit and stone kjellberg, dictionary of sculptors: bronzes of the 19th century, editions of the amateur, 1997.
