Affortunato Gory Super Sculpture Child & Birds Art Deco Statue Bronze Style
AFFORTUNATO GORY (active between 1895 and 1925). For sale: superb sculpture “Child with Birds,” from the Art Deco period. Made of patinated green art cast iron, bronze style, original, with a black marble base veined with white and beige Algerian onyx, signed on the base. In excellent condition (a small chip on one corner – see photo 5) – really nothing serious! Base dimensions overall: 30 x 11 cm.
A superb antique sculpture and a touching scene: a small child (Cupid) trying to tame birds.
