Very rare art deco lamp with timeless modernity, composed of two cubes of moulded glass pressed with cherry decoration by the establishments a. It is 24.5 cm high and weighs 1.9 kilos.

This very geometric version of the fungus lamp is presented here in its original form, as it was marketed in the 1930s by bottle. He also used each of the two cubes separately to create luminaires, such as this lamp presented in his catalogue (photo 6) which uses the smallest cube in shade on a nickel-plated bronze base. The Boyreau establishments, which were located 1 to 7 rue vilaris, manufactured bronze dart lighting and furnishing for individuals. The company's activity also extended to public lighting, candelabras, lanterns, decoration of public monuments.

Of course, it provided the city of bordeaux, for which it lit up the great theatre, but also the towns of biarritz, perpignan, marseille and the railways of the south and the poitou. Boyreau asked for the largest French glass factories to equip his lighting appliances on which we find models of muller brothers, hanots, schneider and Jean Gauthier. Like all the biggest manufacturers of that time, the bottle also made exclusive glassware signed by its name. The smallest of the two cubes measures 8 cm on the side, it is made of double-lined glass and has a collar on which is sealed with plaster the frame with four arms.

The large cube measures 11 cm. These two unsigned glasswares are in very good condition, without fel and with some surface micro-gins.

Often misrepresented as a production of lalic by experts, these cubes probably come from the glass factory of the hanots without this hypothesis being confirmed. The original nickel-plated frame with its four original screws remains in very good condition. The lamp has been rewired with a black fabric sheathed wire, the socket is made of nickel-plated brass screw e14 with porcelain ring, socket and switches are new.
