The Belgian production of art deco fixtures remains relatively unknown to amateurs. The Brussels chandelier, also known as \"la l.\", associated with the crystal-making reputation of the Saint-lambert valley, were its main craftsmen.

In the early 1920s, the manufacture of light fixtures took on real importance and .B began producing bronze or wrought iron lighting fixtures. It was around 1925 that the Val Saint-lambert exclusively supplied the Brussels chandelier that published these articles in nacrocristal (white glass with slight opalescence). Lusine de seraing manufactures mussels, presses glass and matte with lacide most often without polishing, unlike French or Czech finishes. The production of light fixtures was a real success and the Brussels chandelier was awarded a gold medal for the exhibition of decorative arts in Paris.

His pieces took part in other exhibitions: at the stand of the Saint-lambert valley during the international exhibition of cork in 1930 and in the Belgian pavilion of the betting exhibition in 1937. This exceptional large applique in nickel bronze and pressed glass measures 32 cm in height, 23.7 cm wide and 7 cm deep. The window frame was made by the Brussels chandelier, it is struck with its monogram lb in the internal face (photo 6).

Its scalloped border has 5 levels in tiers, the nickeling has retained all its brilliance and does not present daltration. The moulded-pressed glass plate with a veiled dancer's décor, is often presented as a production of the Muller brothers because of its resemblance to the two models of nude dancers produced in the same time. But it is indeed a nacrocristal production of the val saint lambert which is never signed. The curved plate with a scalloped outline is only 26.3 cm high and 18.3 cm wide. It has the distinction of being repolise to create effects of transparency, a treatment rarely used in narcocristal glass.

It is in very good condition with slight scratches in the internal face. Lapplique weighs 2.2 kilos. It is equipped with its two e14 screw sockets made of nickel brass with porcelain ring and is realted with new yarn.

It strays to the wall with two screws or two square pitons that come to the top plate (photo 10).
