RARE 1900 ART NOUVEAU DECORATIVE LAMP SIGNED CLEO ART FOUNDRY Bronze Patina DORE EZAN

  

ELEGANT and EXCEPTIONAL LARGE ANTIQUE TABLE or ACCENT LAMP of ANTHROPOMORPHIC type made of metal and ART FOUNDRY (regule) with BRONZE GILT patina. Featuring a very graceful and elegant WOMAN motif signed CLEO on the base. Probably CLEO de MERODE or CLEOPATRA, the famous DANCER and COURTESAN from the late 19th century, in the style of EGYPTOMANIA, which was very fashionable in the last quarter of the 19th century. It stands 42 cm tall from the base to the top of the molded ice-type cup shaped like a BOWL with an ICE motif.

The heavy and very stable base measures 10 cm x 10 cm. The glass part is signed EZAN, see photo. The cup has a diameter of 20.5 cm and a height of 9 cm for a bayonet bulb. This RARE lamp is in its original condition and should be viewed, showing oxidation, scratches, etc., and patinas with some losses of gilding....

This lamp, in the style and period of 1900 ART Nouveau ART DECO, is original in its state (thus wear, scratches, etc., and oxidation from over a century of existence) and diffuses a unique and warm light that varies depending on the type of bulb, whether cold or warm filament. It is equipped with old-style bakelite or plastic fittings visible in the photo, operational olive type, and a bayonet socket. The connection wire is approximately 1.50 m long.
