Very beautiful bronze with a brown patina in excellent condition. "Young Dutch peasant with bare feet sitting on a rock." Art Deco circa 1920/1930 on a marble base by the sculptor Joseph Emmanuel Cormier, known as Joe Descomps, born in 1869 and died in 1950, signed on the rock (see photo). There is also a stamp near the signature of the foundry (illegible), but this sculptor had his castings made in lost wax by "Barbedienne." PS: this sculpture also exists in gilded patina and clothed on its rock (see photos), but the one in bare brown patina is rarer because of the "lost wax" process.
