Charles ranc founded his bronze lighting company in 1909 in Paris and installed it at 64 rue de la rue de la folie-mericourt. His eugenic and august brothers, as well as his sister madeleine, joined him in 1928 and the company's name became "ranc friars". In 1930 the activity was transferred to 97 of the street oberkampf.

Ranc productions were particularly well known for the precision of finely chiseled bronzes and the elegance of the models, whether they were lamp feet, applied frames or chandeliers. Each of these large bronze appliques measures 36 cm in height with a projection of 18 cm. Each weighs 0.7 kilos. It should be noted that ranc also marketed a two-armed version. The frames are composed of a hexagonal medallion with a stylized floral decoration (photo 3) and a long central spindle with an alternation of smooth and chiseled areas.

The two pressed glass tulips that are never signed come from the Jean Gauthier establishments, one of the most important French glassmakers of the 1930s. It is not yet known why the name of Gauthier did not pass to posterity as his contribution to the luminaire art déco was great. Sometimes signed ejg (for establishments jean Gauthier) or j. Robert of the name of the street where his factory was located in bets, often unsigned, the glass factories produced by Jean Gauthier equipped the lighting apparatus of the greatest bronzers and ironmakers dart of the interwar period. This very elegant model of tip-bound tulip features a stylish floral decoration on five sides that echoes that of the mount.

A support bar at the back of the mounts allows the wall to be hung (photo 10). They have been rewired with a new wire and are equipped with brass sockets with bayonet b22. They are ready to be laid down and illuminated. Any total or partial reproduction of the text and/or images of this ad is strictly reserved.
