In the manufacturer's period catalogue, it's not a winding. Adolphe bloch is not the best known of Parisian lighting manufacturers, but he was no less one of his most important artisans. The dadolphe blockh workshops were installed at numbers 7 and 9 of the popincourt city in the 11th betting district, these buildings still exist today. These nickel-plated bronze and pressed glass lamps, which were published by block under reference 9092 (photo 6), are a very interesting example of its production in the early 1930s. Resolutely modern, this model combines an elegant base with a stylish floral decoration very "art deco" with a globe. Hexagonal in frosted white glass with a dome with steps. While most of the building or skyscraper lamps offered for sale are only roughly transformed ceiling lamps, this pair of authentic lamps will attract the attention of enlightened amateurs and reconcile them with this family of luminaires whose shape was inspired by the architecture of skyscrapers. These lamps are 28 cm high and weigh 0.9 kilos each. The nickeling of the supports is original and this silver patina with light bronze reflections does not lack charm. The globes alone are 26 cm tall with an 8 cm collar, they are not signed. They are in very good condition, with some ginnings used at the neck of one two and some missing on the edge of the other (photo 11). These small defects, however, remain totally invisible when inserted into their supports. The bakelite wire-passes remained present (photo 8). The lamps were rewired with a twisted wire sheathed with black fabric, b22 bayonet bushings made of nickel-plated brass, sockets and switches are new. Foreign customers : the old french b22 bayonet sockets can be replaced by new e14 screen sockets.
