ELEGANT ART DECO MODERNIST LAMP 1930 SKYSCRAPER BUILDING BRONZE and OPALINE

  

EXCEPTIONAL LARGE TABLE LAMP or auxiliary lamp, stable base. Bronze, brass, and copper for the base measuring 36 cm from the bottom of the base to the top of the glass. The base is topped with a large white opaline typical of the Art Deco period. OF THE BUILDING or SKYSCRAPER TYPE. This lamp, in the Art Deco style and from the 1920s to 1930s, in its original state, emits a soft and warm light.

It is equipped with older but more recent operational wiring and plug, as well as a bayonet socket. DIFFICULT to photograph due to micro reflections and brightness (the autofocus keeps zooming in and out).

The illuminated opaline displays finely detailed graphics, with vertical stripes among others, followed by shadows resembling the fluting of classical columns... Very visually striking and elegantly noticeable in some photos, though the focus is slightly unclear. Circular base with a diameter of 19 cm, very stable, for a total height of 11 cm in copper and bronze or nickel-plated brass for the lower perforated part with some traces of oxidation and a beautiful old patina. LARGE LAMP TYPICAL of the 1920s and 30s, with a total height of 36 cm. Very elegant and refined lamp.
