Charming patinated bronze box in antique green, signed Max Le Verrier, the famous French sculptor and foundryman from the Art Deco period. This rare piece features a bas-relief depicting an ancient hunting or war scene, inspired by Assyrian or Mesopotamian iconography, with a chariot drawn by horses and lions. Adorned with stylized vegetal motifs on the sides, it rests on four small spherical feet. The interior is lined with original green felt. Le Verrier" and the mention "BRONZE" are engraved under the lid.
