The work rests on a textured oval terrace with a green patina, imitating a rocky, mossy ground, itself placed on a sober and elegant black marble base that perfectly enhances the whole composition. Material: Regule (art cast metal) with a bronzed polychrome patina, warm reddish-brown tones highlighted with verdigris, with remarkable fur detailing rendered in fine engraved lines of great craftsmanship.
Marble base width: 21 cm. Marble base length: 67 cm. Very good overall condition for a piece of this age. Original patina well preserved, with light signs of wear and natural oxidation consistent with the age of the piece.
Note: one of the original plugs/lead seals is missing under the base - this has no impact on the stability or appearance of the piece. Visible in the photos, sold as is. Original period piece, not a reproduction.
