French Art Deco shell bowl, vintage 1920s. This decorative piece combines a natural shell (Pinctada margaritifera) with a bronze mount, creating a dialogue between organic form and architectural structure. The shell has been carefully polished to reveal its natural contours, subtle iridescence, and rich variations in texture.

The shell may show a couple of old micro-chips on the dark edge but there are no cracks or repairs. The bronze mount has partially lost its original gilding in places where the metal has darkened; it could be re-gilded if desired. Width: 15 cm / 5.90 in.
