Very elegant art deco applique with geometric nickel-plated bronze lines and die-cast glass cup pressed by the glass factory of the hanots. This appliqué, produced in the 1930s, measures 18.5 cm in height, 16.5 cm in projection for a total weight of 0.6 kg. The mounting of the appliqué, on the long arm ascending at right angle, enters into the field of modern lighting appliances: geometry is used here for decorative but also structural purposes. If bronze does not reveal any monogram that identifies the creator of this decor, we will be content to admire its anonymous talent. The surface offers an alternation of matt and smooth areas and chiselled areas to sublimate the modernist decor.

This frame holds a cup in pressed glass depolished with selective repollution, which perfectly combines with bronze, in a proven aesthetic unit. The cup, which does not bear a signature, was produced by the glass factory of the andelys for its collection glassware lighting and architecture of the hanots.

Owned by the Holophane company, this same glassware also produced decorative objects marketed under the verlys brand. This cup combines a geometric decoration with hexagonal structure in its upper part with a stylized plant frieze very emblematic of this period. This applicator has been rewired with new wire, it is equipped with a screw socket b15. It sadifies to the wall thanks to a fastening bar placed on the back (photo 11).

The original nickel coating, which has retained all its radiance, has very slight traces of oxidation. The cup has no defects except for the usual ginnings present at the clamping points of the collar. The appliqué is ready to be laid, to decorate any modern interior, and to illuminate.
